Notify Mi Band. Update 1.2
Hello there!
Week ago we published the first version of "Notify Mi Band" and it seems to go pretty well, right? In the coming update, we improved several things both on the technical level and UI.

- Improved activation scenario. Now you won't need to close "Bind Mi Band" when you activate the app. But you might still need this when you open "Notify Mi Band" next time.
- Enhanced support for some apps, which didn't have a correct name displayed (it showed a path like "C:\Programs\.."). You still might see something weird in the app name, so contact us if that happens.
- Additional information support. We added "help" page that should provide answers to the "most hot" questions regarding the app.
"Bind Mi Band" also receives a small but recommended update 1.18.2.

Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.14936 Issues
Hello!
Microsoft has broken OS again. Unfortunately, we can't do anything about it. You can only wait for next build. As we always say, you use internal builds only at your own risk. Will hope that things become better soon.
P.S. Unfortunately, we've been very busy with other stuff in September, so notifications beta is delayed. We feel really sorry about it :( but we'll get much more time already starting from next week!

Release 1.17: More settings for Mi Band 2
Hi there!
We are happily rolling out the new update 1.17.0 that contains important fixes and improvements, mainly for Mi Band 2, but not only. Let's go through them.
1. For Mi Band 2:
2. Everywhere around the app now we show date and time in your regional format settings. In the same format it should be visible on the screen of your Mi Band 2.
3. Now it's possible to set up to 10 alarms for Mi Band 2 (and up to 3 for older bands, as it was before).
4. Major fixes in synchronization for both Mi Band 2 and Mi Band 1.
5. Small stability, speed and UX fixes.
Well, it's quite a long list. We hope that you will like the changes.

Mi Band 2 support in update 1.16
We are gladly informing you about the upcoming update that finally provides support for Mi Band 2.
There was an intention to limit the scope of release to basic support of all the most important features. This goal was met. You can bind band, see steps, calories, distance and sleep information, measure heart rate, configure alarms and other settings.
Owners of older bands can be affected by this update also. Please, feel free to report any issues you may see.

Mi Band 2 Information Update
Hello there!
We have some good news to share. Many of you ask whether "Bind Mi Band" supports Mi Band 2 and when it will happen. Hope that now we'll cover these questions.
1. Bind Mi Band will support Mi Band 2. The new band has absolutely different communication protocol comparing to Mi Band 1. We have completed its investigation and now are sure that at least all basic features will be covered (most probably all of them).
2. We still need to polish the app (right now it's kind of messy), retest with all models of bands and all possible scenarios. I would say this will take another week or two. So, please, have some patience.
3. The worst is behind. Now it is the fun part :D

[UPDATED] Windows Insider Preview 14379 Synchronization Problem
We get numerous feedback from Windows insiders that there are problems with synchronization on build 14379 (and probably 14376). Unfortunately, we can't do anything on our side. Seems like some Bluetooth low-level caching problem.
A temporary solution to the problem would be a restart of your phone before synchronization as some people report. Otherwise, you need to wait for the next update of Windows.
We can only say that the news is good and bad at the same time. From one side, we don't recommend to use unstable builds, but from the other side, it means that Windows team is doing at least something and (hopefully) is moving forward.
UPDATE: as it is reported by users, in build 14383 everything goes well with sync.
Regarding Mi Band 2: it was really hard to get it and I ordered it from 2 stores. After weeks of waiting, now both of them are shipping. I expect to get first of them next week and start exploring (I don't know what I'm going to do with two bands, but this is another question...)
UPDATE: I received Mi Band 2 and started to implement support of it. It will take some time, since protocol has changed greatly.
See you soon!

[UPDATED] Windows 10 news (good and bad)
Hi everybody,
We have some news regarding Windows 10 and Mi Band. Let's start with the bad one. (update is in the end of the post)
Since Windows 10 release, we received numerous letters regarding issues of Bluetooth stability and connectivity. All of them seem to be fixed in update 10586.218. After it was released, issues almost completely disappeared (here and here the Bluetooth-fix is confirmed).
But in latest Windows 10 Insider Preview update 14322, which is on Fast Ring of updates, Bluetooth LE support seems to be broken again. We diagnosed the issue, tried to push some improvements, but OS doesn't give access to Bluetooth device, throwing different exceptions. From some users, we hear that the same issue is happening to similar apps, so it's not a problem of Bind Mi Band.
We can't do anything with it, guys. You knew what you signed for when joined Insider Preview. So try to roll back to the stable version of OS or wait for next update. If you got any solution or possible fix to the issue, please let us know.

Small update 1.14
Hi!
We are rolling out a small update for Bind Mi Band with version 1.14.0. Actually, it's small only at the first look, but inside we have done big UI refinement work.
1. We have made app more accessible. So now if you change font scaling in system settings, app will respond and almost all the parts of it will have font scaled. It should be done much earlier, but I hope that now it will be more comfortable to use the app for people with bad sight (like me).

Happy Birthday, Bind Mi Band! Release 1.13
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday, dear Bind Mi Band!
Happy Birthday to you!
Around a year ago the app was published to Windows Store. It was just started as a fun project that potentially could become useful for Windows Phone users. The first draft was made on hackathon for one night. No one expected that it will be of so great help to people. We are feeling really happy about how many people we have helped and have big plans to continue doing this.
It may be interesting to know that the app had 54 190 downloads from the Store and we had 60 734 views on the blog. But you probably will be surprised (we actually are!) to know that we have received and sent more than 5500 EMAILS regarding support and other questions. And we are still happy to receive your feedback and questions :) (but, please, read FAQ before that).
As a small present for all of you, we have made release 1.13 (not the best number, yeah...)

Bind Mi Band and Windows 10 Mobile
In the light Windows 10 Mobile update rolling out, we want to inform you how to avoid issues with Bind Mi Band app.
First of all, Bind Mi Band works on Windows 10 Mobile.
If after upgrade from 8.1 the app can't find the band, try next steps:
1. Remove band in Bluetooth settings (actually remove, don't just click on it) and then add it back. Later you will need to bind band in the app again and it should work.
2. If the first step doesn't help you, try to reinstall the app. But do step 1 before that.
Also, answering the question if something changed with notifications in the new OS: no, nothing has changed in Windows 10 Mobile. We still can't make band vibrate when an incoming call is ringing.
So this is all.

Release 1.12 with Firmware Upgrading
Hi there!
"The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated" as Mark Twain said. Though February was a hard month, full of events, we continue to develop the app and here is the new portion of updates in version 1.12.
The main improvement: now it's possible to upgrade the firmware of Mi Band with our app. This works for all the versions of Mi Band. We won't be necessary having the latest firmware from Mi Fit, but the version, which we'll have in Bind Mi Band, is guaranteed to be 99% working. Many people complained about issues related to alarms and heart rate measuring. Now this improvement should help them. This feature still can be unstable, but it shouldn't cause issues with your Mi Band in the case of failure. If firmware upgrade permanently crashes for you, try to reboot your band.
Yes, by the way...

Heart rate measuring for Mi Band 1S in version 1.11.0
Happy New Year!
We hope that everyone has got the new Mi Band 1S from Santa, so our app is ready to give you new possibilities. Now you can manually measure your heart rate when you want. Also, you can enable heart rate measurements during your sleep. In the future, it will be used for improved sleep analysis.
