Hello!
Microsoft has broken OS again. Unfortunately, we can't do anything about it. You can only wait for next build. As we always say, you use internal builds only at your own risk. Will hope that things become better soon.
P.S. Unfortunately, we've been very busy with other stuff in September, so notifications beta is delayed. We feel really sorry about it :( but we'll get much more time already starting from next week!
yep internal builds, are only for "test"...
ReplyDeletethanks for the update - wait for notiffication ;-)
Really wait for notifications!
ReplyDeleteWaiting for notifications feature !!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your hard work making this great app...
ReplyDeletePls notifications :) :) :) we count on you
ReplyDeleteHi! I can't measure my pulse anymore with Mi Band 2. :/ Everytime I try there is only X, no numbers... What's wrong? Is it broken?

DeleteIt was okay for 1 month, I didn't change anything... Green light is visible. But no measures...
DeleteSame for me for 1 month! But I'm not sure this software is the pb. May be some one has an idea(sorry for my pore english, I'm french)
DeleteI have exactly the same problem but it appeard when i updated to PRO (paid) version. I have na android phone with recent android to try firmware update.
DeleteSame problem... any idea what is wrong?
Deletechange position to bit higher on ur arm(Works)
DeleteSame Problem here...but position change and holding the arm still does not work.
DeleteUPDATE FIRMWARE TO FIX - I had the same issue, was working then stopped, I updated the firmware via an iPhone and the heart monitor is now working again. Would be good to be able to update firmware with this app..
DeleteMines not registering sleep anymore in the app. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteUnpaid and pair the band again.
DeleteDelete and reinstall the app.
This work for me last September.
Greets.
Maybe any workaround with registry ?
ReplyDeleteAny hope for firmware update (MiBand2) in next release?
ReplyDeleteNot in next update, but it will be available later. Big piece of work.
DeleteWill the beta be a separate release, or just a new version of the current app?
ReplyDeleteIt will be a separate app.
DeleteMaybe same minor update app, for update firmware of mb2? And then we can wait for notifications?
ReplyDeletetoday finally received my new Band2 :)
DeleteС Windows insider. На релизных сборках все корректно работает
Deleteis possible in future updates add day and date to time?
ReplyDeletehere is pic hows look this option with android
http://oi68.tinypic.com/9jon11.jpg
you can set this option in android system, after reconncting to windows system this look option still remains
Deletetnx but, yes i know this, just asking for this option for others who dont have android phones :)
DeleteIt's in plans for next updates. Not for closest one, but in still top priority :)
DeleteNeed to implement firmware upgrade for MB2 first, then will add this and some other new options available.
ReplyDeleteIan, when to wait for the update?
With the new build 14946 it's still not working
ReplyDeletesame here :(
Deletei've got the new insider build 14946 and the problem are still there! :-( it's not the only trouble we have with microsoft!
ReplyDeletewhy you people not use stable build 14393.321? working fine with this build. is that important to use test version of insider instead stable build?
DeleteThis stable build drains my battery. I think i will get back to insider. Up to three days instead of only one. Lumia 830.
Deletewith latest build battery last longer for me... can use it 1,5-2 days without problem (with 950XL)
Deletenew version firmware for Band 2 is available v1.0.0.53
ReplyDeletejust notice: you need Mi Fit v2.2.3 for Android to update to this version of firmware
DeleteIs it safe to update? I just got my band 2 with firmware .34 and everything works, it would be a shame that the firm upgrade fucks everything up :P
Deletei remember, you promise notification in summer. this year will be unusually long summer... fucking promises.
ReplyDeletethen you make app with notification ;) is easy to complain. developer have private life and other things important than this app. i bet you never ask Xiaomi and complain to make official app for Windows device.
DeleteDalibor Horvat +1
Deleteale no tak. nejde prece o xiaomi, nebo microsoft, ale o vase nerealne sliby. on vas je nekdo nuti delat?
ReplyDeleteGuys, I know it's delayed, but initial plans didn't involve Xiaomi releasing Mi Band 2 with completely new API, which took me July and August to make proper updates.
ReplyDeleteWork is in progress, I want it to be beautiful both inside and outside, so it takes a bit more time than expected.
Good news though is that notifications will be a free addition to BMB. The only thing you need is to wait when I make it in the way I'm satisfied with it.
I don't need a full support for Mi Band 2. I paid for a lifetime license to have the notifications feature in my Mi Band 1S as promised long time ago. Maybe you will do an separate app only to the Mi band 2 model if that is the delay reason.
DeleteGreets.
Raul_zgz, where you see notification promised if you pay for Pro version? that is lie and author never promised that, and in app you can see what is benefit of Pro subscription... notifications is announced when API be released for third party developers (was expected after Anniversary update) but how Ian say, Xiaomi now released new API (on android, new app is released for testing with new API and new firmware) and that not Ian blame. I wrote before: did you ever write to Xiaomi support and complain to make official app for Windows device?
DeleteThat's actually true that it was never promised and never was a part of any subscription. But, saying again, the work is going.
DeleteThanks for understanding and support, guys!
Unfortunately, I can't think only about users of Mi Band 1S or Lumia 520 or whatever. Everyone, who has technically capable device and OS for features to run, should have them, if it's possible. Now app supports 4 different versions of Mi Band and we try to keep it running on both WP8.1 and WM10. Not all the features are/will be available for all the OS and all the bands, and that should be managed nicely technically.
If I would focus effort only on needs of a particular person, that person would be me and the app would never go public :D
Cheers!
Yes notification should not be included in pro version, but the truth is, that many bought subscription with a view to the functioning notification. the question is, how would they choose if you gave a statement that notification would (maybe) never work?

DeleteIan don't worry and do your thing. There will be always someone complaining.
DeleteLove your work.
Can't believe people are getting abusive because you are taking longer than you thought to push out this update. Keep up the great work, nice to see some support for Windows Phone.
ReplyDeleteGreat work, take the time you need, the app comes when it is ready, i am realy an very impatient person, but this app is done by one man in his free time, so everybody has to be patient, or make his own app.
ReplyDeleteТоже хочу выразить благодарность за приложение! Это большая и трудоемкая работа. Очень ждем обновлений от Вас! А Вы можете назвать примерные сроки, когда будут реализованы уведомления?
ReplyDeletei noticed one thing today with new firmware, i take off my Bind 2 from wrist 2 hours ago and i start app now and band show i was sleeping with light sleep during this time... LOL...
ReplyDeleteThis is normal...calculates your sleep with the help of an algorithm based on the move of your hand during the sleep
DeleteMan u doing such a good job :) Keep going, i can wait for notfication if it will works fine. Everything what is included in app working better then i expected then i buyed a subcription and cant wait for next updates.
ReplyDeleteGood job man... I was thinking... Cortana deals with notifications and it can send alert to Bluetooth earphone... It is not possible makes mi band talks with cortana?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your great job !
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get my "MiBand 2" vibrate when receiving a call.
I already bought the life time subscription yesterday ! Then after I used MS Recovery Tools to remove my Insider W10M redstone 2 release.
Good job, I can't wait for the notification in the miband2
ReplyDeleteHi Ian.
ReplyDeleteAny idea when we'll have the notifications?
Hi Ian.
ReplyDeleteAny idea when we'll have the notifications?
Hi Ian.
ReplyDeleteAny idea when we'll have the notifications?
Don't want to promise anything, but it has never been so close to release :)
ReplyDeleteWrapping things up.
Waiting for that!
DeleteJust work at your pace Ian!
Thanks for all the development! Is is possible to get a kind of timeline (no, I am not asking for definite dates for releases) with what you are planning to implement and in which order for the miband2?
DeleteGreat news, looking forward to this release. Keep up the great work.
DeleteGreat news...Just received my miband2..I have miband1s and was very happy...but Microsoft break it..so waiting for the fix...push them please
ReplyDeleteWaiting for release =)
ReplyDelete:(
ReplyDeleteДобрый день, уже совсем не терпится, скажите, с ноября мы сможем насладиться уведомлениями?
ReplyDeleteCouple more days I will test it and we go live :)
DeleteWow ! Nice to read it ☺
DeleteHope test will be good for you... And for us ☺
Not connect to band 2 to win 10 build 10.1946
ReplyDeleteI'm updating firmware band 2 to last version but like cant connect to this app
Problem to this build or app is not work??
build
DeleteInsider 14959 still has the issue?
ReplyDeleteDowngrade your phone to anniversary (10.0.14393) version. I did it and found that miband and notify working fine. Thanks for developer.
ReplyDeleteWorks using build 10.0.14965.1001
ReplyDeleteHello everybody, I see some mismatch between the distance and calories shown on the screen of Mi Band 2 and what the application (on a Lumia 950) is showing. Do you have the same? Thansk
