[UPDATED] Windows Insider Preview 14379 Synchronization Problem

We get numerous feedback from Windows insiders that there are problems with synchronization on build 14379 (and probably 14376). Unfortunately, we can't do anything on our side. Seems like some Bluetooth low-level caching problem.

A temporary solution to the problem would be a restart of your phone before synchronization as some people report. Otherwise, you need to wait for the next update of Windows.

We can only say that the news is good and bad at the same time. From one side, we don't recommend to use unstable builds, but from the other side, it means that Windows team is doing at least something and (hopefully) is moving forward.

UPDATE: as it is reported by users, in build 14383 everything goes well with sync.

Regarding Mi Band 2: it was really hard to get it and I ordered it from 2 stores. After weeks of waiting, now both of them are shipping. I expect to get first of them next week and start exploring (I don't know what I'm going to do with two bands, but this is another question...)

UPDATE: I received Mi Band 2 and started to implement support of it. It will take some time, since protocol has changed greatly.

See you soon!

  10. I just received my new Mi Band 2 yesterday and i can't sync it with Bind Mi Band. The phone recognizes it as a device, but the BMB can't detect it. Hope you receive your two bands quickly, so you can upgrade this app fast and get more people to support you.

    Keep up!

    1. Let's hope that the anniversary update let the Dev some more room to work on new features. It works wonderful on Android. But by now, just to sync with BMB would be great.

  14. question for band 2 owners:
i read some reviews, and in general all is very critically to band. whats yours opinions? did worth buy? scratches on screen? battery last only 12 days? waterproof is good (not only shower and splash, i talk about long swimming)? i own band 1S and planning to buy band 2 but in general i am very satisfied with 1S and will keep her for now if band 2 not very good...

    1. My review so far...
It's well built, looks resistant to scratches, battery was at 36% when i got it and last me 9 days to get completely dry (today). About swimming, i didn't had the chance to test it, however it should be ok. The display sensor get's crazy in the shower with the water splashing and keeps cycling through the menus. Nothing to worry, but shows it really is sensitive to touch.
Looks very precise on the sleep tracking and the android app has a lot of cool stuff. Can't wait for the dev to bring all the features to WP in BMB.
In my opinion it's money well spent according to everything it can track. The worst feature so far is the heart rate monitor, that if you are too soaked from running, or too wet after shower it sometimes fails to read your HB. Other than this situations, it works fine.
Hope it helps you to decide.
      Cheers!
